Lost Forty Brewing Brings Back Bare Bones Pilsner

A Cult-Favorite Arkansas Classic Returns April 2026: Lost Forty Brewing, an Arkansas-based brewery, is proud to announce the return of Bare Bones Pilsner, one of the brewery’s original and most beloved beers, launching April 2026. A quiet cult favorite since Lost Forty’s earliest days, Bare Bones returns exactly as fans remember it – crisp, balanced, and endlessly drinkable, now housed in a refreshed, modern outer package that honors its legacy.

Classic Inside. Modern Outside.

Bare Bones Pilsner was one of the first three recipes brewed by the Lost Forty team, crafted with intention and restraint at a time when the brewery was just finding its footing. “Bare Bones Pilsner is clean, crisp, and timeless,” says Jerry Gorman, Head Brewer. “No shortcuts – just lager made with quality ingredients, care, and time.” That intention remains today. The recipe is unchanged. The beer is unchanged. Even the original illustrated can remains, now protected inside a new premium outer box that signals a new chapter without rewriting history.

Heritage in every pour.

This Pilsner has history – yours and ours. The return of Bare Bones Pilsner is a celebration of continuity; of the beers, places, and people that shape Arkansas craft beer culture. It’s a reminder that some things don’t need changing, even as everything around them evolves.“ Bare Bones is simplicity at its finest,” says Grant Chandler, Lost Forty, COO. “Beer with understated character is the perennial treasure of an industry otherwise determined to push boundaries and break rules.”

New Menu, Same Forty.

In that same spirit, Lost Forty is also returning to its roots with a completely reimagined taproom food menu. Featuring beloved Smoke Shack classics as well as new, thoughtful pairings designed to complement Lost Forty’s award-winning beer, the menu marks an exciting evolution while staying true to the brewery’s origin. At the heart of the update is a return to slow-smoked barbecue, prepared in Lost Forty’s custom-built smoker. Fan favorites like 14-Hour Smoked Brisket Plates and Slow-Smoked Baby Back Ribs make a welcome return, joined by new additions like Fried Green Chile Mac & Cheese Bites and Cornbread Panzanella Salad, bringing a modern touch to familiar Southern flavors.

Out of Hibernation.

The return of Bare Bones Pilsner will be celebrated with a launch party on Saturday, April 11th from 11am to 3pm at the Lost Forty taproom in downtown Little Rock. A celebration of spring, the re-release of Bare Bones Pilsner, and a fundraiser for The Van, this family-friendly community event will feature live music, outdoor activations, local partners, and interactive experiences throughout the day, marking the official reintroduction of this fan-favorite beer.

Bare Bones Pilsner will be available beginning April 2026 at Lost Forty Brewing in Little Rock and Arkansas retailers statewide!
